Life is too short to waste years enduring an uncomfortable work environment with self-serving bosses or malingering co-workers or having to pitch products with little value. Don’t do that. For almost every interest you might have there is a corresponding business. Choose one that you love. People have been successful at all of them. Do what they are doing.
Today, for a myriad of reasons, too many unfocused young people will be forced to make a dozen or more career changes; constantly beginning again and again. For your financial future and your sanity, put in the research time so that you can build your career in a single direction doing what you love doing. This should be a primary aim of your college education. Take internships, work part-time, join associations and be sure that the career you are studying is the one you will love to do every day.There are unlimited activities to occupy your free time. Plan to spend a lot of your time doing what you love. You are in control of your own happiness.
